美国最近研制成功了一种新型节能的电子灯泡(简称E型灯泡)。E型灯泡是一种由无线电频率激发的无电极的日光灯光源灯泡。一个13.56MHz的晶体振荡器产生无线电频率信号,这一信号经放大后由一个能量耦合天线发射至玻璃灯泡内(如图)。无线电频率能量使灯泡内水银蒸气电离(电离的等离子体形成一个导电环,起一个空气耦合变压器二次的作用,一次则是耦合天线)。当水银离子在能量状态过渡时,它们在254nm波长的紫外线区域发生共振。发射出来的紫外线辐射在玻璃灯泡的内层磷光涂层上,就可发出可见光。
The United States recently developed a new type of energy-saving electronic bulbs (referred to as E-bulb). E-type bulb is a radio frequency excitation electrodeless fluorescent light bulb. A 13.56MHz crystal oscillator generates a radio frequency signal, which is amplified by an energy-coupled antenna and launched into a glass bulb (pictured). The radio frequency energy ionizes the mercury vapor in the bulb (the ionized plasma forms a conductive ring that acts as a secondary air-coupling transformer and once as a coupling antenna). When mercury ions transition in the energy state, they resonate in the ultraviolet region of 254 nm wavelength. The emitted UV radiation emits visible light on the inner phosphorescent coating of the glass bulb.
