近30年来,我国国有经济得到了迅速发展,总体实力空前增强。国有企业在国内、国际两个市场的竞争中发挥着不可替代的作用,但也面临着空前的挑战和巨大的机遇。目前国内企业在发展过程中,在成长战略选择上具有很大盲目性,往往注重了对产业前景的分析,而忽视了企业自身具有的核心能力,在利润诱惑的驱动下,冒然跨入新领域进行多角化发展而陷入困难。国内外研究者对企业核心竞争力和人力资源管理的理论进行了广泛的研究,提出了各自的论据和逻辑分析,充分体现了核心竞争力和人力资源管理的新思想、新概念。
