任何书家风格的形成,都离不开当时社会环境和人文背景的影响。元末明初的杨维桢在朝代更迭的复杂环境中,从起初怀有精忠报国的雄心壮志,到郁郁不得志,再到归隐山林,最后又因社会动荡而不得不装疯卖傻,这一特殊的人生际遇使得其书法逐渐形成了怪诞不羁的风格和面貌。本文通过对杨维桢书法作品及艺术思想的解读,以及他与赵孟頫书风的比较,试图对杨维桢的书法艺术进行简要分析。
