海外著名学者、哈佛大学荣休教授李欧梵先生的重要著作《中国现代作家的浪漫一代》、《铁屋中的呐喊》、《上海摩登》等都已译成中文在大陆出版,一些单篇论文也由王德威主持翻译汇集为一册《现代性的追求》先在台北麦田,再在北京生活.读书.新知三联出版,这些论著都产生了相当广泛的影响。其实,除此之外李欧梵还有大量英文的学术论文从未译成中文。似乎很少见到像他这样对自己的文章漫不经心的人,从来不去注意收集和整理自己的论文。因为私心喜欢李欧梵的文章,便起意收集他的一些零星论文,尤其是英文论文,发现至少有十来篇比较重要的英文论文从未译成中文发表,更不用说他为各种英文著作所写的序言或后记了。这里发表的是我们新近译出的两篇:《论中国现代小说的继承与变革》和《身处中国话语的边缘》。前者高屋建瓴地论述了从五四文学到新时期文学的历史演变,尤其是现实主义传统的传承与裂变,将寻根文学和现代派文学纳入了百年文学史的框架加以观照,视野宏阔,充满洞见;后者以自身的体验来讨论边缘与中心的关系,以及这种关系在海外作家和新时期作家那里不同的体现,其中对中心的重新定义、对“内在流亡”的表述,都深具理论意义,与当下颇为流行的“离散理论”颇多相通之处。“边缘与中心”的论述或许可以成为我们观照新时期文学的一个有效框架。相信这些论文对进一步深入而全面地研讨李欧梵教授的学术思想也会有很大的裨益。 A famous overseas scholar, Mr. Li Oufan, professor emeritus of Harvard University, has been translated into Chinese and published in mainland China for some important works such as The Romantic Generation of Modern Chinese Writers, Screams in the Iron Houses, Wang Dewei presided over the translation collection as a collection of “pursuit of modernity” first in the wheat fields in Taipei, and then living in Beijing.Studying.New knowledge triple publication, these treatises have had a very wide range of effects. It looks at the root-seeking literature and modernist literature into the framework of a hundred-year literary history with a broad field of vision and full of insight ; The latter discusses the relationship between the periphery and the center by their own experience and the different manifestation of this relationship between overseas writers and writers in the new era, in which the redefinition of the center and the expression of “internal exile” are all deep Theoretical significance, and the moment is quite popular “discrete theory ” a lot of similarities. Expositions of “Margins and Centers” may perhaps serve as an effective framework for us to contemplate the literature of the new period. It is believed that these essays will also be of great benefit to the further and thorough discussion of Professor Li Ou-fan’s academic thinking.
