Objective To investigate the relationship between depression psychological factors and glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GADAb) in adults with latent autoimmune diabetes (LADA). Methods A case-control study was conducted to analyze the relationship between depression and GADAb levels in LADA patients. Results The level of GADAb in patients with LADA complicated with depression was significantly higher than that in non-depressed patients. The levels of anxiety / somatization, sluggishness, hopelessness, cognitive impairment and HAMD scores in patients with LADA complicated with depression were significantly higher than those in non-depressed patients , While there was no significant difference in body mass, day-night changes, sleep disorders and other factors between depression and non-depression patients (P> 0.05). In patients with LADA, the GADAb level in patients with fragile diabetes was significantly higher than that in non- GADAb levels, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Conclusions Depression may be related to GADAb level in patients with LADA, and the risk of depression is higher in patients with high GADAb titer.
