动画艺术短片制作中主要阶段有:创意剧本阶段、场景人物设定阶段、分镜头绘制阶段、动画绘制阶段、后期合成阶段。这五个部分综合调剂着短片的节奏问题。创意剧本阶段决定整体节奏的调性是高亢还是低沉,是紧张还是舒缓,是轻快还是凝重,确定出大的呼吸节点;场景人物设定阶段在剧本的基础上明确艺术风格的空间节奏美;分镜头绘制阶段基本定型动画艺术短片的准确时间节奏、景别节奏、镜头节奏、机位节奏、叙述节奏等;动画绘制阶段则到了细部把握节奏阶段,主要创造符合角色节奏的动作节奏来有力的塑造角色,塑造合适的局部精彩节奏;后期合成阶段则又进入整体调整节奏阶段,为短片节奏做最后的修正和调节,使其更生动,更赋节奏美以及观赏性。
