Chaozhou wood carving is a folk carving art in Chaoshan region of Guangdong. It is mainly used for decorating the building, furniture and sacrificial apparatus. It is also known as the four major wooden carvings of China with the carvings of Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, the longan carvings of Fujian Province, and the box carvings of Yueqing boxwood.
