This article describes the method of determining the main parameters and structure of the truck. This method was successfully researched by scientists at the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers and other Soviet experts. An example of the application of this method is the design of the tanker to be used for the Bayi-A railway trunk under construction. The solution to this problem requires the use of modern electronic computers. The design of the new tanker is being carried out in collaboration with scientists at the Starkhanov Heavy Machinery Plant at the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers, the All-Souza Institute of Railways and other institutes.
