十多年来,铜陵地区的地质工作进展很大,有不少新的发现,积累了丰富的地质资料.本文着重讨论矿床的控制因素和对矿床的认识,以期对今后的找矿有所助益.区域地质铜陵地区位于江南古陆与淮阳、张八岭古陆之间,下扬子台褶带中部,由印支-燕山褶皱隆起和燕山断裂凹陷组成.区内构造发育,浆岩活动频繁.志留系至三迭系均有分布,发育浅海相、滨海相碎屑岩占优势的志留纪、泥盆纪地层,以碳酸盐为主的石炭-二迭纪及早中三迭世地层,累计厚度约3000米.本区北部为侏罗-白垩纪火山岩.印支运动使区内地层成形一系列褶皱构造,构造线呈北东方向,大致平行排列,由西向
