中华民族命运共同体和中国与周边国家命运共同体建设的效果,从国内、国际两个层面影响中国大国成长。陆地边疆连接国际国内两个大局的政治地理空间特性,使其成为两个层面命运共同体建设的交汇空间。从命运共同体建设角度审视陆地边疆治理现代化,可以为中国陆地边疆治理提供新的视角和思路。当前,陆地边疆治理理念、治理战略和治理体系尚不适应两个层面命运共同体建设的要求。推进治理视野和思维的全球化、积极谋划陆地边疆治理大战略、强化中国民族共同体建设、实现治理体系与技术手段的现代化,是推进陆地边疆治理现代化、发挥其在两个层面命运共同体建设中的战略支撑作用的基本路径。
