H.264编码标准采用了率失真优化的方法,对各宏块的编码模式逐一进行率失真代价计算,大幅度提高了编码效率和编码质量,但同时也带来了很高的运算复杂度。文中对宏块编码模式选择的特点进行分析,利用相邻宏块模式间的相关性以及宏块运动补偿后的残差纹理特征选择编码模式。该快速模式选择算法有效地避免了不必要的模式选择过程,降低了编码复杂度。仿真结果表明,一般情况下该算法对比开源编码器x264的快速算法,平均编码时间降低20%以上。
The H.264 coding standard adopts the method of rate-distortion optimization, and calculates the rate-distortion cost one by one for each macroblock coding mode, thereby greatly improving coding efficiency and coding quality, but also brings a high computational complexity. In this paper, the characteristics of macroblock coding mode selection are analyzed. The coding mode is selected by using the correlation between adjacent macroblock modes and the residual texture feature after macroblock motion compensation. The fast mode selection algorithm effectively avoids the unnecessary mode selection process and reduces the coding complexity. Simulation results show that under normal circumstances the algorithm compared to the fast algorithm of the open-source encoder x264, the average coding time reduced by more than 20%.
