最近,日本三家公司宣布,世界上第一台“电子控制式自动五级变速器”已由它们共同研制完成。这种新研制成功的全自动变速器结构别出心裁。微型电子计算机能把驾驶员通过加速踏板传递来的“想要加速”的意图跟车辆行驶的路面条件等情况加以综合考虑,然后作出最佳驾驶条件(最佳齿轮传动比)的判断。起到机器人作用的液压式传动器等自动操纵装置在接到计算机的指令以后,使发动机、离合器、齿轮变速器等调节到最佳状态。这一系列变速操作过程的完成仅仅需要一秒钟的时间,而且变速振动极小。
