1987年美国经济继续回升,但10月股价狂泻,显露了美国经济内在的脆弱性。美国外贸赤字的减少和消除,决非短时期内能够实现。预计1988年经济增长率必将下降,是否会出现新的衰退,看法尚不一致。
The U.S. economy continued to recover in 1987, but sluggish stock prices in October revealed the inherent vulnerability of the U.S. economy. The reduction and elimination of U.S. foreign trade deficits should not be realized in a short period of time. The rate of economic growth is expected to decline in 1988 and there will be a new recession. The views are still not consistent.
