Daniel Delonte, the last novel by George Eliot, a famous Victorian Victorian woman, became one of his most controversial works by addressing sensitive nationalist topics at that time. This paper tries to analyze the cultural identity of Jewish characters in the novels based on the contemporary theory of cultural identity, examines the anti-assimilation of the “otherness” of the Jewish representative Mukai Kai and insists on the Jewish cultural characteristics of tradition and nationality. The author analyzes the formation of the cultural identity of the protagonist Jew Deronda and the characteristics of cultural identities that are different from those formed under the influence of the two cultures.
