Introduction To study the mechanism of pain sensation by guiding the evoked potentials of the central nervous system, many efforts have been made at home and abroad. However, since the evoked potentials are a complex response, there are many other sensory components besides the pain component; therefore, how to quantify rather than solely qualitatively study pain components in the evoked potentials is an important key to elucidating the mechanisms of pain. Since Dawson proposed the concept of mean brain evoked potentials, the introduction of electronic computers has greatly facilitated the study of brain evoked potentials, making it easy to obtain evoked potentials with high signal-to-noise ratio, and to the details of components of brain evoked potentials
