本文通过描述远程教育的不同理论,从而探讨远程教育的本质。一方面,我们将试图了解远程教育的特性和潜力;另一方面,我们通过分析那些可以用来检验假设的理论,进而探讨理论的建立。本文讨论了建立远程教育理论的期望,以及对在何种程度上达到了这种期望的分析。文中介绍了以下几位学者的理论观点:加里·博伊德(GaryBoyd)、迈克尔·穆尔(MichaelMoore)、希拉里·佩拉顿(HilaryPerraton)、奥托·彼得斯(OttoPeters)、查尔斯·魏德迈(CharlesWedemeyer)以及伯耶·霍姆伯格(B觟rjeHolmberg)。另外,本文也探讨了这些理论研究与普通教育的关系,并且考查在远程教育中建立理论的认识论问题。作者认为,远程教育理论与一般的教育和社会课题应该是息息相关的,文章最后提出了这些理论是否应该继续发展的主题。
This article explores the nature of distance education by describing different theories of distance education. On the one hand, we will try to understand the characteristics and potential of distance education. On the other hand, we will explore the establishment of theory by analyzing the theories that can be used to test hypotheses. This article discusses the expectations of establishing a theory of distance education and the analysis of the extent to which such expectations have been reached. This article describes the theoretical views of several scholars: Gary Boyd, Michael Moore, Hilary Praton, Otto Peters, Charles Wedemeyer, Charles Wedemeyer and Börr Holmberg. In addition, this paper also explores the relationship between these theoretical studies and general education and examines the epistemological issues of establishing theory in distance education. The author believes that distance education theory and general education and social issues should be closely related, the article finally put forward the theme of whether these theories should continue to develop.
