In this paper we investigate splines determined by certain linearoperators de fined in terms of system inverses. Best approximation properties for the proposed splines are given in an appropriate reproducing kernel Hilbert space framework,and the structual and continuity characteristics of these splines are obtained via the reduced-order system invese technique.
