由于经济衰退和财政拮据,美国的科学研究事业正面临困境。科学家们纷纷抱怨说,目前美国许多科研机构不仅设备陈旧,而且不配套,科学家们在大学实验室里产生的许多想法,往往只能到有更多设备的国外实验室里才能变成现实。
Due to the economic recession and financial constraints, the scientific research in the United States is facing difficulties. Scientists have complained that at present many scientific research institutions in the United States are not only outdated and not well-equipped, and many of the ideas that scientists produce in university laboratories often can only be realized in foreign laboratories with more equipment.
