由湖北省水利学会主办的荆江防洪与治理学术讨论会,于1982年11月22日至25日在汉口召开。出席会议有关单位的代表共95名。会议收到关于荆江的防洪、河道整治、航运等方面的学术论文共18篇。代表们对荆江防洪的形势、主泓南移方案、四口建闸控制分流方案以及石首、八仙洲进行人工裁湾等建议畅所欲言、各抒己见展开了热烈讨论,体现了学术民主的良好气氛。
The symposium on flood control and treatment of Jingjiang, hosted by Hubei Provincial Institute of Hydraulic Engineering, was held in Hankou from November 22 to 25, 1982. A total of 95 representatives attended the meeting. The meeting received a total of 18 papers on the Jingjiang flood control, river regulation, shipping and other aspects of the academic papers. The delegates discussed the situation of Jingjiang flood control, the main Hongnan move scheme, the four gate control diversion programs and the suggestions of Shek Shou and the Eight Immortals Island for artificial cutting of the Bay. All of them expressed their opinions enthusiastically and embodied the good atmosphere of academic democracy.
