代家庄铅锌矿床是泥盆纪在海相沉积盆地中沉积成矿、后期热液叠加改造和表生成矿。矿化主要产于中-上泥盆统西汉水群西汉水群统黄家沟组(D2-3h)碳酸盐岩及富含碳酸盐成分的泥岩中,矿体呈似层状或透镜状产出,基本与围岩呈整合接触关系。矿床物质成分简单,以铅锌为主,伴生银,具有沉积的矿石矿物结构、构造;同时,矿体受构造控制,赋存在构造破碎带中,矿石具充填及交代现象,矿石中Pb、Zn、Ag、Hg、As、Sb、Cd关系密切,其中Hg、As、Sb为热液富集的特征元素。
