At the Chinese anti-Japanese battlefield in the 1930s and 1940s, there was an active anti-war organization of the Japanese people, the “Japanese Anti-War Alliance in China” (the “Anti-War Alliance” for short). The “anti-war alliance” has successively developed to 21 branches in the anti-Japanese base areas behind all the enemy anti-Japanese bases. Only the Shandong anti-Japanese base area has seven branches, the largest number of which is the highest of the 19 anti-Japanese bases. This article will explore the development, activities and roles of the anti-war alliance in Shandong.
