法国资产阶级大革命一向是为国内外史学工作者所关注的。我国的史学家们对这一历史事件曾运用马克思主义理论进行认真研究,做出了不少贡献。《历史研究》1979年第7期发表了刘宗绪同志的《试论热月政变的性质》一文,以大量的史料论证了热月政变是革命的这一性质,但也引起了争论。有人仍然认为热月政变的本质是反动的。我认为,后者的意见值得商榷,而刘宗绪同志文章的基本观点是正确的。为了避免重复,我仅摘引一些史料,再谈点肤浅的意见。热月政变的历史面目 The French bourgeois revolution has always been of concern to historians at home and abroad. Historians in our country have earnestly studied and made a lot of contributions to this historic event by using Marxist theory. In his article “Historical Studies”, No. 7, 1979, Comrade Liu Zongxu’s article “On the Nature of the Hot-May Militaristic Revolution” was published. With a large amount of historical data, it was demonstrated that the hot-month coup was the nature of the revolution but it also caused controversy.
