The first half of this article discusses: the development of high-precision manufacturing technology and the importance of improving product manufacturing accuracy; advances in machining accuracy; precision measurement of the level of technology and its development; soft materials, mirror surface processing and mirror cutting machine tools. The second half will continue to discuss the ultra-precision mirror finishing of hard and brittle materials; the basic concepts of atomic material processing; electron beam and ion beam processing and their applications, the last of the article prospects the development trend of superfinishing.
