锦屏二级水电站为一低闸、长隧洞、尾部地下厂房开发方式电站。水电站尾部厂址区域Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ类围岩并存,地质条件较复杂。根据现场地质特点,从工程地质条件、水力学条件、洞室围岩稳定性、工程投资等多方面对厂区枢纽布置进行了分析,论述了取消尾调室、采用二洞室方案的合理性以及选择N35°E的厂房纵轴线方案的优点。实践证明,该方案一方面可以满足洞室群围岩稳定以及机组稳定运行要求,另一方面又能较大程度上节约工程投资、缩短工期,是一种最佳的锦屏二级工程尾部厂区枢纽布置方案。
