The financial turmoil caused by Thailand in Southeast Asia made Soros and other international speculators become the targets of criticisms of all governments. It seems that speculators can influence the level of the stock market and the exchange rate so as to make huge profits from them, and speculators’ practices have become the focus of attention. Since the beginning of May this year, this wave of financial turmoil igniting from Thailand has spread all the way to Southeast Asian countries and to Japan, the ROK in Hong Kong and Northeast Asia, making the financial crisis in Asia as a whole even far away. To the United States, not only caused the exchange rate crisis in Southeast Asia, but also caused a panic in the global stock market. Looking at this wave of Southeast Asian financial turmoil, many observers initially thought it would be just like the financial crisis that detonated Mexico’s currency in late 1994. It was only a regional financial crisis. Unexpectedly, due to overcapacity in Southeast Asian countries, The attack on the governments of Southeast Asian countries failed to effectively stop the speculation of international speculators. Coupled with the prolonged sluggishness of Japan’s economy, the entire Asian financial market was severely hit by international speculators.
