In the Second World War, Warsaw, the capital of Poland, was hit hard and was razed. Just a few days before the liberation of Warsaw, Polish architects and landscape architects had already laid down plans for the capital’s cities on the ground and inserted plans for urban green space systems. Shortly after the war, Warsaw’s green space system project came to the fore. Not many years later, the program gradually became a reality, so it gradually gained international reputation. Today, Warsaw’s public green space is 90 square meters per capita and ranks among the top capitals in the world. The Warsaw people proudly introduced their capital greening profile to foreigners: “Warsaw is in the green space, not the green space in Warsaw.”
