It developed from the study of the history of ideas and is a response to the global shift in current historical studies. The global history of ideas calls for the elimination of ethnocentrism in the study of the history of ideas and the desire to break the inequalities of thought and hierarchy of knowledge between the West and the non-West in modern times. The history of global thought emphasizes the complex phenomena of blending, collision and misunderstanding that occur with different local experiences in the spread of ideas in the global space
