为了培育抗枯萎病的西瓜良种 ,用感病品种蜜宝作母本 ,分别与高抗枯萎病材料 D3- 1和 D3- 2杂交 ,F1 代表现高抗枯萎病 ,F2 代及与感病亲本蜜宝回交的 BC1 代群体抗感分离比例分别符合 3:1和 1 :1 ,说明枯萎病抗性遗传是受单基因或单 DNA片段控制的显性遗传 .用抗性材料为亲本 ,选育出了 5个性状优良的杂交组合 ,其中3个高抗枯萎病 ,2个中抗枯萎病
