In “Madame Bovary” [1], the heroine Emma slowly embarks on the road of pursuing the illusion of “happiness”, and finally goes to the abyss. Constrained by the social and historical environment, women are the weakest in this society. They do not have the right and qualification to receive formal education. They can not escape the big, invisible prison of society. They struggle and resist but they bring destruction. Emma’s death is not only her tragedy, but also the tragedy of education in that era.
