This talented playbook is directed by the late Steve Gordon’s authored film Arthur, who won the 1981 American Writers’ Best American Comedy Award and was nominated for an Academy Award the same year. It greatly inherited the curious and amused tradition of 1930’s comedy - perhaps referred to as “My Stewarding Godfrey” by Maurice Reiskin and Erik Hatch ") Modern version. In many ways, they are so similar, for example, that there is a butler as the main figure, though they are totally different. Godfrey was polite, and Hobson (Sir John Gilgour) was sharp and full of sarcastic wisdom, but neither was loyal to his master. And they are heartfelt.
