During the German occupation there were many church organizations in Qingdao, all of them running schools. The most influential school in the Lutheran Church of Lutheranism is Dehua College. The school was founded in 1898 by the preacher Kun 祚, who was then Advisor to the Governor of Jiaao. The school initially enrolled 100. Course set
