牧草种子是改良退化草地、建植人工草地,提高草地畜牧业生产能力的物质基础,也是干旱和半干旱区域生态建设、水土流失地区水土保持工程建设的基础材料。随着我区农牧业产业结构的调整和畜牧业在大农业中比重的增加以及种植业(粮、经、草)“三元结构”逐步完善,国家对草原生态建设投资规模的扩大,人工草地种植面积和草地改良的面积迅速扩大,使得牧草种子的基础作用显得越来越重要了。因此大量的牧草种子进入我区用于饲草料地建设,对我区草原畜牧业可持续健康发展,推动我区传统畜牧业向现代畜牧业转变起到了保驾护航的作用,大量牧草种子的引进、使用,对草原畜牧执法与牧草种子质量检验部门如何与时俱进、如何规范牧草种子市场、广大农牧民如何选购合格的草种等提出了新的要求,为从根本上确保牧草产品质量安全,杜绝坑农事件的发生,作者结合工作经验提出几点意见与广大读者共享。
