防卫厅技术研究本部是1958年5月从原来技术研究所的基础上组建起来的。与原来研究所相比,它的最大改革是:(1) 开发业务与研究业务分开;(2) 建立了以武器系统为主要对象的研究试制组织形式;(3) 实施高效、经济地研究开发。具体讲,技术研究本部的内部布局是四名技术开发官和一室二部(计划室、总务部、技术部、现在改为总务部、计划部,技术部)。其下属机构为五个研究所和五个试验场。
Defense Agency technical research headquarters was established in May 1958 from the original Institute of Technology. Compared with the original research institute, the biggest reform is: (1) separation of development business and research business; (2) establishment of a pilot organization of organization with weapon system as its main target; (3) implementation of research and development with high efficiency and economy . Specifically, the internal layout of the Technology Research Department is four technical development officers and two rooms (planning room, general affairs department, technical department, now general affairs department, planning department, technical department). Its affiliated institutions are five research institutes and five pilot sites.
