S—1240型数字式存储程序控制电话交换机,是由ITT(国际电话电报公司)组织所属各国子公司、研究所,设计中心的1000多名工程师、设计师和科学家组成的一个多国技术开发组,集中了世界各国发展数字程控交换机技术的成功经验,吸收了世界现代微电子和电子计算技术的丰硕成果,充分发挥了先进的微处理机与软件设计的功能,成功的研制出的一种崭新的数字程控交换机系统。他们从1975年开始着手空前规模的开发计划,至1981年底正比利时的BTM公司进行现场试验。1982年6月后在联邦德国相比利时安装使用,并开始对国外大量订货及进行技术转让。
S-1240 digital storage program-controlled telephone exchange is a multinational technology development group composed of more than 1,000 engineers, designers and scientists from subsidiaries, research institutes and design centers affiliated with ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph Company) It concentrates the successful experience of developing digital PBX technology in all countries in the world, absorbs the rich fruits of the world’s modern microelectronics and electronic computing technology, gives full play to the advanced microprocessor and software design functions, and successfully develops a brand-new Digital program-controlled switchboard system. They started an unprecedented scale development program starting in 1975 and were field-tested by BTM in Belgium by the end of 1981. After June 1982, it was installed and used in Belgium, Germany and Belgium, and started mass ordering and technology transfer abroad.
