从理论上分析了长周期光纤光栅(LPG)折射率敏感的物理机制,并对其折射率敏感特性进行了实验研究,实验测量结果与理论分析结果基本一致,折射率测量的最高分辨率可达9.15×10~-5;当周围介质折射率发生变化时,LPG的透射波形基本不变,采用具有不同折射率的介质封装光栅,可望实现对LPG共振波长的大范围调谐.
The physical mechanism of refractive index sensitivity of long period fiber grating (LPG) is theoretically analyzed and its refractive index sensitivity is experimentally studied. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical results. The highest resolution of refractive index measurement is up to 9.15 × 10 -5. When the refractive index of the surrounding medium changes, the transmission waveform of the LPG is basically unchanged. Using the dielectric grating with different refractive index, it is expected to achieve a wide range of tuning of the LPG resonant wavelength.
