郑泉水， １９８２年本科毕业于江西工学院工民建专业后留校任教，分别于１９８３、１９８７和１９９２年任工程力学助教、副教授和教授。 １９８３至 １９８５年到北大数学系应用数学专业在职进修，１０８５年获湖南大学固体力学专业硕士学位。 １９８９年直接申请并获得清华大学固体力学专业博士学位。１９９０至１９９３年分别以皇家研究员、欧洲研究员、洪堡研究员以及客座教授的身份访问英国诺丁汉大学力学系、法国格勒诺布尔力学研究院和德国亚琛理工大学材料研究所。１９９３年回国后历任清华大学工程力学系教投、博士生导师（ １９９５）、责任教授和特聘教授（ １９９９）。 目前兼任《力学学报》常务编务，《应用数学和力学》、《力学进展》、《力学季刊》副主编和国际《应用力学和工程》编委等。回国后，陆续还兼任过新西兰奥克兰大学、台湾省成功大学、法国格勒诺布尔力学所、香港理工大学和美国加州大学客座教授。 先后获得过中国青年科技奖（１９９０）、政府特殊津贴（１９９１）、首届唯一国际工程科学联合会及国际工程科学杂志杰出论文奖（１９９４）、国家教委科技进步一等奖（ １９９５）、首届清华大学学术新人奖（ １９９５）、霍英东教育基金高等院校青年教师（研究类）一等奖（?
Zheng Quan water, 1982 graduated from the Jiangxi Institute of Technology workers civil engineering after school to teach, respectively 1983,1987 and 1992 engineering mechanics assistant professor, associate professor and professor. From 1983 to 1985 to Peking University Department of mathematics majoring in applied mathematics, 1085 by the Hunan University master’s degree in solid mechanics. In 1989, he applied directly for a doctorate in solid mechanics from Tsinghua University. From 1990 to 1993, he visited the Mechanics Department of University of Nottingham, the Institute of Mechanics, Grenoble, France and the Materials Research Institute of RWTH Aachen, respectively, as Royal Researcher, European Researcher, Humboldt Fellow and Visiting Professor. After returning to China in 1993, he successively held the positions of Department of Engineering Mechanics of Tsinghua University, doctoral supervisor (1995), professor of responsibility and distinguished professor (1999). At present, he is concurrently editor of Journal of Acta Mechanics, deputy editor of Applied Mechanics, Mechanics Progress, Mechanics Quarterly and editor of International Applied Mechanics and Engineering. After returning home, he also successively served as New Zealand’s Auckland University, Taiwan’s successful university, Grenoble Institute of France, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and visiting professor at the University of California. He won the China Youth Science and Technology Prize (1990), the Government Special Allowance (1991), the first International Federation of Engineering Sci-tech & Outstanding Paper Award of International Engineering Science Magazine (1994), the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of State Education Commission (1995) Academic Newcomer Award (1995), First Prize (?)
