在广州,每逢星期日上午8时30分不少聋哑人便打开电视机看广州电视台《教手语》节目,一个词比划两次手势,教完十个词后,再复习一次,然后播放精短的电视节目,荧屏右下方有手语译员在译手语,聋人看得津津有味。自1984年广东电视台开办聋人手语节目后坚持至今,现在广州电视台又推出一台手语节目。 由广州市残疾人联合会,广州市有奖募捐委员会和广州电视台联合举办的聋人手语节目有其特色,一是教授中国手语词汇,每次教十个词,如人的称谓,职业名词,时间词语,工作、生活、社交、政治、法律、成语
