从2010年7月12日至31日,在香港大学参加了由香港中又大学港美中心组织、Luce基金会赞助、美国美术史教授Anna Brzyski和Alfreda Murck主持的“西方美术史高级研讨班”。从周一到周六,每天上午和下午进行讲解与讨论,参与讲解的教授来自美国、澳大利亚、中国香港,从古希腊、罗马、中世纪、文艺复兴到现代主义的兴起,另外还有六次网络视频由美国教授存当地讲解诸多的美术史研究现状与心得。这三周成了高强度、快节奏的对话与讨论,涉及了目前美术史研究的各种方法论问题,最主要是面对面与国外学者进行了交流,有助于深入开展国内的西方美术史研究与教学工作。据称,这是第次由国外学术机构和基金会资助、专门为促进中国的西方美术史研究与教学而举办的,以后将按照主题继续举办下去,明年计划在杭州举办“文艺复兴时期美术”的研讨班。
