Pseudospark discharges produce hundreds of milliampere nanosecond pulses and ampere-level ion beams. An improved snow shovel model was used to study the mechanism of self-pinch-off dynamics during pseudospark discharge. The calculation results are consistent with the basic experimental results. This article also discusses the issue of strong current leads.
