物体的重量也叫重力,它是由于地球的吸引作用而使物体受到的力。重力场就是有重力作用的空间。地球内、外,物体都有重力,表明地球内、外都存在重力场。但是,地球外部物体的重力等于地球对它的吸引力,所以外部重力场就是地球的引力场;而地球上的物体都随其自转做圆周运动,重力不等于地球的引力,重力的方向也少偏引力的方向,因此,地球上的重力场不同于引力场。但二者差别甚小,若忽略地球的自转影响,即把地球看作静止,则其内、外重力场,都等同于引力场。
