Turnover intentions is a major challenge for today’s organization.Due to employees quitting their jobs and the subsequent hiring of replacement personnel,new-hire training,and general costs for administration,addressing employee turnover remains a critical challenge for both scholars and practitioners.Before an employee leaves the business it leads to turnover intentions which may lead to low job satisfaction and thus poor performance.The main objective of the study is to understand the impact of ethical leadership on job performance and turnover intentions in the hotel industry of Uganda.The study is a descriptive analytical research and data was collected through a survey questionnaire distributed to 200 employees and got valid 130 questionnaires.The random sampling method was used depending on the availability of internal mid-level employees in the target population of the study which is Source of the Nile hotel and Paradise hotel.The data collected was analyzed using the SPSS statistical package.The findings of the study reveal that ethical leadership has a positive impact on employees’job satisfaction and employee job performance.Ethical leaders can,through the impact of leader influence the relationships with followers,foster positive employee attitudes and behaviors.These,in turn,are potential indicators of employee performance.Besides,there is a significant link with job satisfaction as a mediating variable between the independent variable ethical leadership and the dependent variables job performance and turnover intention.The study reveals that ethical leadership has a negative effect on turnover intentions.Based on the findings,the study recommends that the leaders of organizations in Source of the Nile hotel and Paradise hotel in particular should worth ethics and consider it as a major rock on which the basis of the culture and value of their organizations are constructed.
