A kind of composite anode materials of graphite with carbon nanofibers coating on the surface was synthesized.Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to analyze microstructures of the composite anode materials.Scanning electron microscopy images showed that carbon nanofibers were erect on the surface of graphite particles.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatical experiments proved that kinetics of lithium-ion intercalation/deintercalation were improved by the carbon nanofibers on the surface. But the initial cycle efficiency decreased due to the increased specific surface area. The optimal preparation condition of the composite anode materials were found in the consideration of rate capability and cycle efficiency.
