The progress of the purification and decolorization by washing of the sterol was studied.The single factor analysis and response surface tests of the reaction conditions was done.And the reaction regression model equation was established.The analysis of variance and significant testing of the equation was carried out.,and the best reaction process was determined by Extreme Value Analysis:solvent:hexane,low-speed mechanical mixing,the ratio of the liquid to the material 16,the temperature 21 ℃,16 min,under the conditions sterol purity was 85.21%,recovery rate was 75.34%
