Astragalus and Panax notoginseng are often combined to treat cerebral infarction.Both Astragalosides (AST),the effective material of Astragalus,and Panax Notoginseng Saponins (PNS),the effective material of Panax notoginseng,have the effect of anti-ischemic brain injury,which may be attributed to the interaction of AST and PNS.
