  Over the past ten years, endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) of contaminants in the environment have become one of the health focuses of concern because of their adverse influence on the human endocrine system.Due to the widespread presence of various EDCs in environment, human encounter a risk of simultaneous exposure of them from different pathways, hence in order to have a appropriate assessing of combination effect by EDCs, it is important to know about how many species and how much of them in the environment.The determination of EDCs is a challenging task because of their extremely low concentrations in the environment (ng/L, even pg/L).The most commonly used analytical technique for EDCs in the past has been gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (GC-MS).Due to the need of derivatization and lower sensitivity than liquid chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-QqQ MS) for GC-MS, LC-QqQ MS has gradually taken the place of GC-MS in analysis of EDCs in environmental samples.
