Analysis and Solution to the Problem of ECU Crash Caused by Watchdog Feeding and Flash Erasing

  In the actual project development process,in order to save costs,flash simulation EEPROM is widely used to meet the demand for data storage of applications.In order to ensure the reliability of the main controller,we prefer to choose the power chip(SBC)which integrates the watchdog function,then the main controller is monitored in real time by the power chip.This paper described the problem of controller crash which encountered in the project development,and analyzed the root cause: the main controller failed to feed the watchdog because the flash erase operation disabled the interrupts,then the power chip reset the main controller and finally let the flash corrupted.According to the root cause,a solution was proposed and its effectiveness was verified.
