During cell cycle, the replication of eukaryotic genome is initiated from multiple chro-mosomal loci called replication origins.During the initial stage of cell cycle (G1 phase),replication origins are licensed by proteic complexes (pre-RCs).The latters should bind toDNA despite nucleosomes and other proteins sca_old that condense DNA into chromatin. The replication origins are _red during S phase in an asynchronous manner by the actionof trans-acting factors (Cdc45...).While interactions among major replication factors arewell-understood,pertinent parameters that regulate replication time of a chromosomal locus are still under debate. Here we establish the link between replication time of a locus andthe structure of surrounding chromatin. We analyse published data of the spatial dynamicsof DNA replication in S.
