Tungsten is considered as one potential candidate for armour material in fusion devices,which is characterized by high melting point,good thermal conductivity,high sputtering threshold and low erosion rate.In this work,tungsten coatings fabricated by both atmospheric and vacuum plasma spray(APS and VPS)techniques were introduced.Their microstructure characteristics,thermal and mechanical properties were focused and related to the fabrication processes.The results showed that the spray parameters had great influence on the molten state of tungsten particles.
