A new member of the AP2/ERF transcription factor family, AcERF1, was isolated from Atriplex canescens.The experimental results revealed that AcERF1 is a transcriptional activator, and localized to the nucleus when transiently expressed in Nicotiana benthamiana.AcERF1 expression in plants was remarkably induced by drought, salinity, freezing, abscisic acid (ABA),salicylic acid (SA), jasmonic acid (JA) and ethylene (ET).
