通过近年的区系研究，查阅《Zoological Record》以及相关的分类文献,简述了阿蚊属的系统发生地位及分类研究历史和现状；重点分析了阿蚊属各种类在世界动物地理区系和中国动物地理区系中的分布情况。目前，阿蚊属全球已知2亚属58种.该属主要分布于东洋区,少数种已扩散到澳洲区及古北区,其中东洋区48种,占世界总种数的82.76％；澳洲区1种,占1.72％；横跨东洋区及澳洲区的有8种,占13.80％;跨东洋区与古北区的有1种,占1.72％。我国目前已知2亚属19种,占世界己知种数的32.76％。该研究为中国阿蚊属及进一步分类学工作提供基础信息。
